· Ronnie Clayton, former evangelist at Lackland Terrace was in San Antonio for the Back to the Bible campaign at the Convention Center spreading the word about the work he and his family were doing in India. Clayton worked with the church that met at Mary Ellen and Harvester roads in Pampa as personal evangelist. At the time, he and his family were making plans to go to India to work as full-time missionaries.
· Dessain Terry, former minister of the Lanark church of Christ in San Antonio, conducted several gospel meetings, workshops and seminars concentrating on “How to Win Your Mate to Christ” and “Biblical Financial Planning for Families.” The elders of North Davis church of Christ in Arlington were overseeing the work.
· John Jones, a 1980 graduate of Abilene Christian University began working at Lackland Terrace full-time with the youth through August as he looked for a permanent position in the San Antonio area.
· John A. Knight, elder at San Pedro, had the oversight of the Bible Call program which offered free correspondence course studies in the Bible as well as a counseling service.
· The Northside church of Christ in George West was happy to report membership had grown to 53. Preachers serving the congregation were Frank Trayler, Max Perez and Freddie Garcia.
