Preaching Minister (1996 - current)
For the past 14 years, David Allen has served as the preaching minister for the Northside Church of Christ in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to that, he served as a minister for the Pine Tree Church of Christ in Longview, Texas for 13 years (six years as youth minister and seven years as preaching minister).
David holds Bacherlors and Masters Degrees from Abilene Christian University and a Certificate from the Center for Christian Education in Dallas, Texas.
Raised in Mesquite, Texas by Charles and Dorothy Allen, David attended the Mesquite Church of Christ where he met and married Kim Boyd. He and his wife Kim have two children, Kaitlin, age 24 (who is a 3rd Grade Teacher in Abilene) and Tyler, age 21 (who will be a Senior at Abilene Christian University in the fall.)
