MAC ladies welcome new members
SAN ANTONIO -- On Sept. 30, the annual Ladies Fall Social was held at the MacArthur Park Church of Christ. A salad supper was enjoyed by 102 women.
One of the purposes of the evening was to welcome all of the ladies who had placed membership in the past year. Each was introduced and given a gift basket.
The many areas of ministry available to ladies at MacArthur were highlighted. Each of the nineteen tables was decorated by a hostess in “My Favorite Things” which was the theme of the evening.
Some of the uniquely beautiful decorations were butterflies, Japan, irises, hats, and travel. To carry on the theme, a mixer game was played that matched ladies who enjoyed the same “favorite things."
Eight ladies from the congregation modeled clothing that emphasized how an outfit can be changed using accessories. Commentary and clothing were provided by Dressbarn. Mark Abshier preaches for the church.
