South Flores Street Church of Christ

Land where the church sat was purchased for $400 in February 1908.

The church paid $142.37 for their share of paving South Flores in 1915 which brought a greater value to their building.

 

Trustees listed in1938:  J.C. Hicks, Wayne harrell, Silas Barnes, H.L. Dunbar, Fred A. Marshall, and T.V. Marshall.

 

A preacher's home was purchased in 1948 on 219 Jennings.

The building in 2010 where the South Flores Church of Christ met.  Under the banner on the front of the building there appears to be another sign behind it.  Perhaps it is the original "Church of Christ" sign seen above in the earlier photograph.
