SAC students meet at pole

SAN ANTONIO -- Students from San Antonio College met in front of the Fletcher Administration Building on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 7 a.m., to participate in a global day of student prayer.
This year's theme came from Matthew 6:9 - a prayer for God to reveal himself as stated in the Lord's Prayer. "See You at the Pole" is a student movement began by a group of teenagers from Burleson. This was the 20th year for the event in which millions of students gather at their school flag poles to pray.

Walsh hosts marriage seminar
SAN ANTONIO -- Joseph Walsh of the West Laurel Street church here directed a marriage enrichment seminar at the San Antonio College Bible Chair on June 5. The theme was "Love to Last a Lifetime.”
Walsh spoke three times on Saturday at the student center and then spoke Sunday morning at Alamo City. On Sunday, his title was “What's Love Got to Do with It?"
Walsh conducted the meetings despite a heart that was giving him some trouble until his pace maker could be replaced. Even so, participants agreed that he did a marvelous job: “All of us were greatly blessed,” says Massie, preacher at Alamo City.
Walsh recently retired from full-time preaching from Laurel Street. He conducts seminars upon request.
