CTCH Announces New Leadership, Vision
BUDA – J. T. Benton, President of the Board for Central Texas Children’s Home (CTCH), announced that Tom Hagan is the new Executive Director. This 41-year old ministry serves broken, abused and needy boys and girls.
“We will help every child discover the potential God has placed in each of them, we will inspire our boys and girls to choose strength over being a victim and we will grow our program to meet the ever-changing needs of children and families,” promises Hagan.
“We are thrilled to have someone with Tom’s background, experience and passion for children leading our program,” stated Benton.
Benton continued, “I can’t say enough about the exceptional leadership and character of [outgoing director] Carol Lee. He is truly the model of Christian service, character and humility. We are doubly blessed that Carol will continue working with us in our fundraising department.”
Hagan commented, “What attracted me was the legacy of success that continues to provide a loving home, a Christian family and a second chance for children who want the same normal life so many of us enjoyed growing up. We live in a world that has lost its way and the children are the victims of our lack of direction, purpose and responsibility.
"I invite our current friends and partners, anyone curious about Christian child care and those who believe God’s people have a divine mandate to help children unable to help themselves to visit our campus. Hagan’s career in Christian childcare spans 19 years beginning with his role as a house parent for Medina Children’s Home before becoming Business Manager and Vice-President of Development. He also worked in Florida as Director of Development with Christian Home and Bible School in Mount Dora, Florida.
As a former deacon and elder, he understands the needs of a local congregation as well as the importance of connecting their outreach with worthy works like Central Texas Children’s Home.
He has been married for 22 years to Deborah L. (Brown) Hagan, a certified elementary school teacher.
The couple has one daughter, Mari Catherine, who begins her third year of college this fall. An avid bird hunter, family man, golfer and reader, Hagan brings a renewed passion and an expanding vision to the Buda campus for boys and girls “where caring can’t wait.”
