CORPUS CHRISTI -- Jack North, one of our elders, baptized all three of his granddaughters in succession, on the evening of October 15th. Piper Turman (in purple), Emory Turman (in white), and Arden Turman (in yellow), all sisters, wanted to be baptized together to have the same spiritual birthday. Their parents are members at Kings Crossing...Greg and Joeli Turman.

 

 

 

SAN ANTONIO -- The “Evening of Spiritual Harmony” songfest and fellowship

meal held at the Northside church building here recently raised $8,010 for

Southwestern Christian College in Terrell.  Over 400 people attended the events

coordinated by Lynette Kennedy and her many helpers.

 

 

KERRVILLE -- The 160 members of the Riverside church here recently set

spades into the earth to begin the construction of their meeting place. Al

Horne is the minister for the group, which currently meets at Starkey Elementary

School on Harper Road.

The land deeded to the church for the building is also located on Harper

Road. The church’s stated goals include serving “the community through

local evangelism, meeting needs of members and others, and sharing God’s

love with those around us.”

PLEASANTON -- The first annual Stack-The-Can contest begin during the church’s fifth quarter event for teens recently.  On Oct. 10, the students can-structed something from donated

canned goods.  Held in the fellowship room, the competition yielded prizes for best design and for most cans used. After all was said and done the canstruction materials went to restock the church’s benevolence pantry.
